Lot 1023 FULLY TRANSFERABLE WW1 GERMAN MG08-15 MAXIM

MACHINE GUN. Cal. 7.92 (8mm Mauser). S# 1273a. Bbl. 28 1/2" DWM made. Blade front sight. Tangent rear sight graduated to 2000m. Balance of parts are matching with fusee cover, Mercedes made lock, rear plate ahead of stock & a few smaller parts being mismatched. 1918 S&H (Siemens & Halske) made MG-08/15 light machine gun. The 08/15 was a lightened version of the famed German MG-08 Maxim used heavily in WW1. NFA paperwork lists "GERMANY" as mfr. Bbl. jacket has WW1 German style camo repaint. Balance of parts are blued. Unnumbered beech stock. Green painted bipod present. CONDITION: furniture shows notable checkering wear on grips, scattered dings, dents, handling marks & finish loss. Bbl jacket retains 92% camo paint with scattered flaking & light oxidation. Balance of metal retains 80% blue with a few light dents on fusee cover, light pitting on fusee cover, scattered edge wear, handling marks & light oxidation.
